Issue: Clean WaterType of activity : Stakeholders Meeting
There are 55 community cases we handled in Aceh Besar, 22 community in Banda Aceh, 4 community in Bireun, 8 community in Pidie, 4 community in Aceh Barat, all these community are related to Clean water, first step in our mind is mapping all stakeholders working in WATSAN program and then we found UNICEF is one of big funding in WATSAN program. Then we arranged to meet with Mr. Yap Winarto as a Project Officer Sanitation WES section UNICEF. The result of this meeting were the UNICEF say they not implemented directly WATSAN program but UNICEF funding some NGOs to implementing WATSAN program and the UNICEF gave us list of NGOs that UNICEF funded in WATSAN program in Aceh, after we plan to discuss directly with NGOs funded by UNICEF to solve cases we handled which cases related to WATSAN (Friday, April 25, 2008 – 09.00 AM).
The another meeting we attended to resolve watsan issue was discussed with WATSAN American Red Cross team, we met with Ms. Shinta M. Sianturi (WATSAN senior project engineer) firstly we introduced our program to them and then we asked where their WATSAN project in Aceh and Nias, then we asked the possibility to refer some cases we handled to them, they said is ok so long as in American red cross working areas. And then MS Shinta gave us list areas AMREDCROSS working at the moment (Friday, April 25, 2008 – 11.00 AM).
