Pada tanggal 6 Agustus 2008, kami menerima SMS pengaduan dari Client yang bernama Fakri. Beliau mengeluhkan masalah rumah yang di berikan oleh BRR yang pembangunannya dilakukan oleh kontraktor PT. Multi Garansi Prima. Kontraktor tersebut telah mengerjakan pembangunan rumah pak Fakri sampai pondasi saja kemudian mereka meninggalkan begitu saja hampir delapan bulan. Setelah menerima pengaduan ini Tim advokasi Palang Merah Irlandia mengkroscek kebenaran pengaduan ini langusng ke alamat dan mendatangi langsung rumah yang sedang dibangun terbut, setelah Tim advokasi menyelesaikan verifikasi kasus ini langsung melaporkan ke BRR distrik Banda Aceh bagian unit pengaduan keluhan (UPK) yang diterima Yuliadi, katanya akan di follow up ke bagian perumahan secepatnya.Pada tanggal 11 Agustus 2008 Tim Advokasi Palang Merah Irlandia melakukan kunjungan lapangan ke tempat client untuk memonitoring follow up kasus ini dan allhamdulillah rumah Bapak Fakri di desa Lamjamee telah dimulai kembali pembangunannya walaupun belum selesai, tetapi pengerjaan rumah sedang laksanakan dan Bapak Fakri sendiri mengawasi pembangunan rumahnya

Ibu Agustina mengirimkan SMS pada tgl 6 September 2008 ke rumoh PMI, Ibu Agustina mengadukan ada 6 unit rumah yang tidak layak huni yang dibangun oleh BRR dan ibu Agustina sudah mengadukan hal ini ke BRR bagian kontruksi pada awal 2008 dan menjumpai pak Wisnu di BRR Lueng Bata tetapi sampai sekarang belum ada tanggapan dari BRR meskipun ke enam rumah tersebut bukannya milik ibu Agustina, belin merasa prihatin karena yang menghuni rumah tersebut janda miskin dan orang-orang yang tidak berani bersuara, ibu Agustina bertindak untuk dan atas nama tetangganya. permasalahan lain bagi Ibu Agustina adalah ketika hujan datang membanjiri rumah-rumah di sekitar jalan pendidikan karena sudah ada peninggian jalan baru. Tim advokasi mengunjungi unit pengaduan BRR untuk mendapatkan informasi mengenai permasalahan yang dihadapi Ibu Agustina, kemudian unit pengaduan BRR menyaran untuk menyerahkan Bukti berupa foto di saat banjir, dan tim unit pengaduan BRR menanyakan kontraktor mana yang bangun rumah didesa tersebut, tim advokasi mencari tau dan yang membangun rumah adalah CV. Bumi Ayu dan PT. Putra Pantai Selatan. Unit pengaduan BRR mengatakan akan menindak lanjuti nya...mari sama-sama kita tunggu aksi dari BRR….

Need clean water

Bapak Salahuddin bersama isterinya ibu Nur mengirimkan SMS ke rumoh PMI untuk membantunya mencari solusi permasalahan yang dihadapinya setelah tsunami, karena air sumurnya asin tidak layak untuk dikonsumsi, pak salahuddin dan isterinya mempunyai usaha budidaya tanaman hias, untuk budidaya tanaman hias ini Bapak salahan membutuhkan air 5 – 6 kubik air perhari untuk menyirami tanaman hiasnya dengan luas 1500 M3 yang katanya kalau menyiram tanaman hiasnya dnegan air sumur tanamannya bisa mati, tetapi setelah kita memverifikasi kelapangan selama ini bapak salahuddin juga menyirami tamanan hiasnya dengan air sumur tersebut, tetapi tamannya baik-baik saja. Ini daerah perkotaan yaitu di samping Taman Sari kota Banda Aceh, di daerah ini mempunyai aliran PDAM air nya lancar dan bias untuk digunakan untuk keperluan rumah tangga. Karena kasusnya tidak begitu darurat untuk membutuhkan pertolongan Tim advokasi memutuskan untuk tidak meneruskan kasus ini di tindak lanjuti karena air yang dibutuhkan bukan untuk keperluan yang sangat sangat dibutuhkan. Bapak Salahuddin Cuma pingin dibantu sumur bor untuk menyiram tanaman hiasnya.

Hendra mengirimkan SMS ke rumoh PMI untuk meminta bantuan supaya ada yang membantunya memberikan bantuan kaki palsu, Tim advokasi telah berusaha menghubungkan Bapak Hendra dengan rumah sakit Zainal Abidin, karena di rumah sakit ini bekerjasama dengan Handicap International untuk memberikan bantuan kaki palsu kepada korban tsunami, di saat Tim advocacy palang Merah Irlandia mendamping bapak Hendra ke rumah sakit Zainal Abidin, mereka meminta syarat Hendra harus mempunyai ; 1. Surat keterangan Miskin atau ASKESKIN 2. Surat rujukan dari puskesmas atau rumah sakit tempat asal. Setelah menyelesaikan semua persyaratan Tim advokasi bersama dengan Bapak hendra akan datang lagi ke rumah sakit zainal abidin untuk pengukuran kaki palsu untuknya. Tunggu kelanjutan proses pendampingan kami kepada bapak Hendra selanjut nya…

Always Flood in Deyah Elementary School

Elementary school in Deyah village wanted to have big drainage ditch because if raining coming the school yard and the class room will be flood are. CAFR verified the case in the field to see directly what happening if raining and we found really big flood in class room and around school, and then we coordinated with WATSAN Officer Irish Red cross to shared this case. And then the WATSAN officer had assessment more detail and will report to WATSAN delegate. This case handled by Leni octaria and still monitoring to see what the next decision from the watsan Irish Red Cross. watsan officer and Watsan delegate already assessment this elementary school but the result is Watsan Irish Red Cross Can’t help because complicated problem if we help build drained around elementary school that mean have to rehabilitation hold village, watsan team suggested there is involved from all parties such as head of village all community to rehabilitate out side elementary school drainage, although watsan team have to fill up the school are but still flood if raining coming because main road m ore higher then school area. We also already asked UNICEF to help this case but the answers is UNICEF right now not have construction program, only software (hygiene promotion). We also had suggestion to head of elementary school to asked the who have been rehabilitated this school [THW/Technisches Hilfwerk] according watsan team suggestion. To continue helping this school to completed drainage. {this case already close because difficult to have donor wanted to rehabilitate school drainage}. Need land clearing for farming in Lampuuk Village

Lampuuk village cases consist of 40 household proposed to have one organization or agencies to help them to clearing wet rice field. In the village have 60 Ha wet rice field hit by tsunami is that why the need help to clearing to able planting rice again like before tsunami. The CAFR already conducted meeting with all Lampuuk community, in that meeting we were indentified the needed are; - Clearing wet rice field about 60 Ha. – babed wire fence/wire net fencing to protecting wet rice field from cow, bull. – Seed of rice (high yield rice). CAFR already presented this case to UNDP and the result is UNDP have that program and wanted to help them but they wanted CAU Irish Red Cross can guarantee the community will use the wet field rice after UNDP clearing. UNDP said like that because they said the have but experience about that after UNDP clearing wet rice field to community, the don’t want to plan some think just neglected. We will meeting again with all community to share this issue and ask guarantee from them after that we will meet again with UNDP. This case handled by Mahrizal.--> according to email from team waste management UNDP they were said need more time to make new contract and process it in Jakarta, because for the moment the last contract for Tsunami recovery waste management program (TRWMP) had been end contract in Jakarta and now in process renew contract for this program. they said even like that situation please don’t make any promise with community, but just waiting the final approval form head of UNDP waste management project.

Lambaro kayee Lhee Relocation

130 household in lambaro kailo village are renter, they were wanted to have land to build housing for them. CAFR already verify phase II to gathering more information all document needed to present to stakeholders, the stakeholders related is BRR. CAFR already facilitated client to meet with BRR to discussed together this case and the result is BRR need more time to verify one by one client that proper to have land from BRR or not. The houses for this renter already have it donor to build houses, the donor is Saudi Charity Campaign, they can build house for them if they have a land. Is that way they wanted CAU to help them to facilitate to have land from BRR. The status this case is still following up by Bambang Nurcahyo.
Yesterday at 2 July BRR had verify 50 households directly interview by BRR Staff in Lambaro kailo village, this is one of required from BRR, and today for 80 households BRR staff will continue interview and take place in elementary lampriet, (the head of verification is Mr. Taufik said the result for this case will have next month, who will loss with this verify he will get land form BRR.

Hygiene Promotion and drug abuse Training

Last two months on July 21, 2008. We received case form deputy head master of Senior Islamic high school (MAN Sibreh) in Kutamalaka sub district-Lubok Batee village. The case is about their school (students) needing hygiene promotion training. Because the student do not have good hygiene habits. We are currently looking for a facilitator who can give the training to students . We found trainer from Indonesian Red Cross from Aceh Besar Branch. In this training also we will promote the Community Outreach Program to students and teachers with ways presentation by Bambang and Zulfikar and distributed the rumoh PMI tabloids.
PMI volunteer think not just give the hygiene promotion but also drug abuse and HIV Preventive. The participants join in that presentations are 43 students and 3 teachers.

No Clean water in Lampulo

In Lampulo 125 households were without clean water in Lampulo village after tsunami hit December 2006. Last month CAU negotiated with PDAM (local water provider) on behalf of the beneficiaries the result was PDAM connected the water pipe and distributed water to Lampulo village.The result was over 125 houss now receive clean water. After the water was connected the CAU team received numerous SMS s thanking the team for their help.

The CAU team then visited the community to assess the situation and, found that the clients were really happy because they received clean water before the fasting month. Then we asked them to show in MAP which area clean water already comes tru e.
